Peanut Butter Dessert Sauce
My favorite toppings for frozen custard, peanut butter and raspberries – kind of like a PB & J, I suppose. I’ve tried asking the custard shops for their peanut butter topping recipe, but apparently nobody makes stuff like that in-house, and they didn’t have a clue how it’s made. Well, Mr. Custard-Owner People, I could show you now if you’d like.
And it really couldn’t be much easier. Three ingredients, one of which is plain ‘ol water and about 15 minutes worth of work to create something absolutely delectable. This dessert sauce is perfect on ice cream, but I’ve discovered I like it best all warmed up on a hot-from-the-oven fudge brownie, where they both kind of melt into each other and it’s chocolate and peanut butter heaven. There’s so many possibilities with this stuff. So many desserts to make even better. Or you could eat it with a spoon straight from the jar which is probably my second favorite way to enjoy it. Yum.
