The Ultimate Chocolate Cupcake
After our efforts last week on the home front and my daughter’s success in mastering “the seat”, I decided I’d make something special last night to celebrate. Â And my little bird adores cupcakes, so cupcakes is what my girl gets.
I had read that you can use the same batter for Texas Sheet Cake to make a fantastic chocolate cupcake, so I gave that a whirl. Â Boy, they weren’t kidding. Â Those things were awesome.
And I’d also seen this frosting recipe a few times before so I decided to pair up the two and see what kind of magic happened. Â Oh. my. Â goodness.
Who would have thought that a frosting with flour in it, that’s cooked on the stove would be anything to write home about? Â It’s weird, but you’ve got to try it. Â (And in case you forgot how to frost them so pretty, here’s help.)
This will be the first sweet my baby bird gets. Â These made the cut and will be served at his first birthday party coming up soon. Â Side note: Â I’m so excited to plan his party. Â We decided on the perfect theme for our little guy and this kind of stuff is right up my alley. Â I’ll share more after it’s all said and done so I can show pictures too.
You only have to wait 6 weeks or so.
